Community Profiling

Mr. Deocariza lectured us about Community Profiling, and I am very much excited with the upcoming activities we have to accomplish and work together on because of the project planning and lessons that are yet to be understood and be taken.

However, CWTS1 is not easy and preparing for it and planning these activities is very much difficult to manage and maybe this is why we are lectured by a variety of professors to understand more on social behaviors of other people, in order for us to work well and be wholistic in viewing things and conceptualizing and forming our ideas, and this will be great characteristics for us to be efficient workers and do this service learning thing successfully.

But in the process of service learning, it is important that we, be guided and be properly prepared in such activities. And that's why it is significant for our projects to be handled with proper management and guidance from our professors. It is not an easy task to go to a community, that you have really little knowledge of and that is why community profiling is very important. It is essential for us to learn and enjoy while serving, so that we can fully understand the community that we are assigned to.

We have to know the backgrounds and important details of our community first so that we won't expect that much or that less on what we have to do. We should gather as many informations as we can. We have to be familiar and secured with the chosen place since we will be working in and out of there for lots of weeks.

Even how difficult it is, I am very much confident that we can do this successfully, because by doing these works efficiently, we can always have a good output. =)
