This year, Wowowee's 1st anniversary of the Ultra Stampede. 70 people killed. Died.
Without precautions, life's at stake.
One year ago, February 2. This is a late post. One of the most shocking events of the year 2006 was this. When you have Lady Luck on your side, you can win one of the most coveted prizes for that anniversary. But when Lady Luck's not on your side, you'll die. You got killed because you got one shot to make a dream come true. To live a better life.
This was one of ABS-CBN's downfall last year, that even if they try to turn the world upside down. Oh, the heck! They went so down last year compared to GMA. Maybe, this year they have relived their ratings but... still:
Greed, ratings, gimmicks and personal benefits was prioritized instead of human life.
True. You have given them the necessities they can but you can never bring back the lives of those who got killed, nor the memories that would linger their minds forever, the children the parents left, the children who were stolen the opportunity to live longer.
For them, its one chance, one opportunity to succeed.
For ABS, its one way to get money.
For now, they're just a memory.
You can not play a game of chance in the lives you stole.
Whatever happened, if its an accident or not. Although you did not anticipate this happening.
You were the ones to blame.
You have the power. You got the control. You should have used it at that time.
And Wowowee's back on TV. Hooray. And makes people go wild singing the silly Boom Tarat song, lubayan ako.
Kahit kailanman, sariwa ang ala-ala ng Ultra Stampede. Maaaring nanonood ako ng Channel 2 ngayon. Ngunit di pa rin mawawala sa aking paningin, ang pagkitil sa pitompung kababayan nating nalubog na sa dalita, ay nilubog pa sa putik ng kamatayan. At sa 70 pamilya at 1000 sambayanan na pinalungkot nito. Nagluksa ang mga tao dahil sa inyo.
Bigyan naman natin ng hustisya ang kanilang pagkamatay.
