Miss Universe 2008: Latina Fever

Three more days to the Finals, Latinas are the ones to beat this year!

After a year of Asian beauties' dominion on Miss Universe 2007, this year's contest is fronted by heavily-favored Latin countries! And here are my top three bets to win the crown.

And they are as follows:

Elisa Najera of MEXICO.

Dayana Mendoza of VENEZUELA.

Taliana Vargas of COLOMBIA.

For this year, the top fifteen countries who performed the best in the preliminaries would advance to the Finals to be held at Crown Convention Center, Nha Trang, Vietnam.

While there won't be any MISS PHOTOGENIC AWARD for this year, the BEST IN NATIONAL COSTUME Award will be the determined through votation. And with that, I am encouraging all of you to take some time to vote for this year's Miss Philippines, Jennifer Barrientos.

3. Look for the Philippines’ Costume (like the picture above & it’s actually in the page 2).
4. Click its thumbnail.
5. After clicking, a preview will then appear on the right side of the page. Click “SELECT THIS DELEGATE” located just below that preview.
6. The bad things is, we are to choose 3 delegates! So be sure NOT to vote for those countries that will surely be a strong competitor for the AWARD!
7. After choosing the Philippines and the “other” two countries, click on “SUBMIT VOTE” located just below the thumbnail pictures.
8. Follow the SIMPLE instructions after that!
9. You’re done! Go Philippines!
