Phillip Seymour Hoffman, 46, Found Dead at New York Apartment

Phillip Seymour Hoffman, 46, an award winning actor was found dead, Sunday, in his apartment in New York. According to officials, Hoffman was found dead at his apartment at the Manhattan neighborhood of West Village.


As of the moment, no clear death cause has been identified. However, some evidences suggest drug overdose is one of the primary reasons of his death.

At 11:15 AM, the actor was found at the bathroom of his house by a screenwriter. Hoffman won Oscar's in 2005 for "Capote" and appeared in God's Pocket and "A Most Wanted Man" for Sundance.

The actor is also known for his stint in the Hunger Games series - with him being part of the cast shooting at Atlanta for Mockingjay.

Just last year, he had been admitted to rehab and had finish 10-day substance abuse program. It was believed he was under the influence of heroin. He had said he was clean for twenty years already.
