Bringing pride to our nation, Michael Martinez finished fourth in last night's Short program competition for figure skating. The Men's Short Program is one of the most anticipated events in the Winter Olympics, being held at Sochi, Russia.
The 17-year-old bested other participants, landing in the Top 24, as he showcase his talent in Men's Figure Skating. Some of the best contenders in the category are Japan's Yuzuru Hanyu and Canada's Patrick Chan.
Michael Martinez had been training intensively for the past months, even without proper government support. As said by his mother, they mortgaged their house just to be able to get ticket to Russia. He qualified for the Winter Olympic Games last 2013 and his daily training constitutes three hours on ice, with his choreographer.
