Regine Velasquez is definitely a daddy's girl. That's why it's really so hard for her that her father passed away at the age of 76, today Monday, February 3.
At exactly 1:39 pm, the singer-actress had confirmed Gerry Velasquez death through Instagram. Alcasid said God comforts his wife always.
Velasquez has an upcoming concert, entitled Voices of Love and this concert will probably be an ode to her father. Arriving late from the press conference, she went to the family emergency as her father was rushed to the hospital.
Hoping her father would be able to watch the concert on MOA Arena on February 14, Mang Gerry died.
Singer-actress Lea Salonga said on Facebook: “Rest in peace, Mang Gerry. I will always remember you as a fixture by Reg’s side at gigs from when we were young ones in the biz. Always present, forever supportive. I don’t think of Reg without thinking of you. To Ogie and Regine, you are in our prayers and we send hugs to you and your family.”
